The Dual Fusion pedal from Wampler Pedals is, Wampler believes, the first overdrive pedal specifically voiced for the new breed of fusion guitarists, yet it is so versatile it can find a place on any board of any genre.

Fusion in its current form is a fairly new concept, with roots in theoretical jazz and the more technically advanced shredders that became popular in the mid-to-late 80s. One of the forerunners of this genre is Tom Quayle, the UK's finest and most in-demand exponent of modern fusion. With deep theoretical knowledge and a pair of completely unforgiving ears, he could never locate a pedal that let him be the guitarist he truly is.

When Wampler first met Tom in early 2012, he was already stacking Wampler's Euphoria and Paisley Drive together. But those pedals are voiced for other genres, so they set about honing the tones to match his style: more transparency, a tighter and controlled bass response, and an amp-like feel at high levels with complete clarity on each string. Over a year later, the Dual Fusion was born, with two independent circuits based on heavily modified Euphoria and Paisley Drive voicings.

With the most versatile stacking and signal-path options available on an analog pedal, the Dual Fusion is the foundation of modern fusion and will appeal to guitarists from all genres at all levels.

Choosing Stacked vs. Separate Channel Switching:

The toggle switch has 3 settings: 2>1, Separate, and 1>2.

• Looking at the top of the pedal, the input jacks are on the right side and the output jacks are on the left side. C1 means channel 1 and C2 means channel 2 on the jacks.
• In 2>1 mode with both channels on, the guitar routes into channel 2, then channel 1. Move the input cable to the C2 input jack and the output cable to the C1 output jack.
• In 1>2 mode with both channels on, the guitar routes into channel 1, then channel 2. Move the input cable to the C1 input jack and the output cable to the C2 output jack.
• In the middle (separate) position the pedal can be used as two individual pedals, each with its own input and output jack.
