Are you looking for an amp-in-a-box that will let you access a huge range of tones? The NUX Metal Core Deluxe MKII is your answer. This high-gain preamp pedal has 3 amp models for superior sound control and expression. The Duo Rect, Fireman and VH4 models open up new sonic possibilities that guitarists everywhere will love.

You can easily switch between the models using the 3-way toggle switch. In just a few seconds you can move between pristine, high-gain, hard rock and metal tones. With the Metal Core Deluxe MKII, you get all the features of an amp-in-a-box in a high-quality pedal.

The Duo Rect is based on the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier — the familiar 90’s American metal sound, from metal to punk to grunge.

The Fireman is based on the Friedman BE-100. For over a decade the “BE” circuit has been hailed as the epitome of British tone.

The VH4 is based on the Diezel amp of the same name, which revolutionized the industry with its 4-channel and individual inserts design. It has a thick, articulate and “meaty” sound loved by many players and used in recording studios all over the world.

Ampless & Impulse Responses

Impulse Responses play an important part when going ampless, giving you that cabinet sound to complete your tone. Each of the included amps on the Metal Core Deluxe MKII has a matching IR. You can load your own 3rd party IRs via the MetalCore editing software (supports 512 samples IR resolution; converts WAV format automatically).

USB

The USB-C port is for firmware updates and connecting to the MetalCore editing software. Hold the footswitch while powering up to enter DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode.

MetalCore editing software

Tweak parameters and load 3rd party IRs. The Metal Core Deluxe MKII offers 5 user slots for 3rd party IRs (512 samples resolution). An EFX Mobile App with OTG connection is also available for editing on the go.

Footswitch & FS Indicator

With the pedal not connected via USB, hold the footswitch while plugging in power to boot up. LED flashes GREEN 3 times = IR engaged; RED 3 times = IR disengaged.
