The outboard Fender 6G15 spring reverb unit is the defining sound of Surf guitar, Spaghetti Western, and countless great guitar tones from the sixties. Its magic lies in running in front of the amp, causing the reverb signal to distort and intensify. Catalinbread has meticulously recreated all the complex non-linearities of the original — retaining the classic three-knob control set and adding a discrete preamp Volume control for clean boost.

Controls:

• Dwell: Controls how hard the springs are driven. Cranking it causes wet-side clipping and spring crash for vintage intensity.
• Tone: Rolls off high end from the wet signal only. Pull back for a more distant, ambient reverb character.
• Mix: Balances wet and dry signals — goes fully wet for total immersion.
• Volume: Boosts the entire circuit for clean, healthy output gain.

Place the Topanga early in your signal chain — in front of the amp, with only fuzz boxes before it — and let it splash, crash, and drench everything downstream, just like the original tank units.
