New Darkglass Microtubes 900v2 "Euryale" Medusa Limited Edition Bass Amplifier
CONDITION:
Includes two new Fender Custom Shop Tweed 6-inch patch cables and a new Fender Custom Shop Tweed 10-foot instrument cable.
New, in box.
With enhanced durability, improved equalizer, studio-grade compression, impulse response cabinet emulation, and MIDI control, the Microtubes 900 v2 features all the options the modern, professional bassist needs in a compact, sleek, and loud format.
Illustrated by the amazing artist Christopher Lovell, "Euryale" is one of the most epic, dark artworks we have seen in the past few years.
Front Panel Features:
Input - Connect your instrument via a standard ¼" mono cable.
Passive/Active - Switch from passive to active mode. If your bass is active it can have a hotter signal, making the amp distort earlier.
Microtubes - Turns the Microtubes Engine on or off to add natural compression, organic harmonic enhancement, and saturation ranging from mild overdrive to high gain. The Microtubes Engine operates before the clean section, so you can use the 6 Band Active EQ for additional tone shaping.
Compression - Controls the amount of dynamic compression added to the Microtubes Engine. Make-up gain is adjusted automatically; compression can be turned off or assigned via the Darkglass Suite.
Drive - Controls the amount of distortion the Microtubes Engine delivers, from a soft warm overdrive to a massive modern distortion.
Tone - Controls the high harmonic content of the Microtubes Engine via a variable low pass filter.
Level - Controls the Microtubes Engine output volume.
Blend - Mixes between the clean signal and the distortion signal (Microtubes Engine).
B3K/VMT - Selects between two overdrive voicings: B3K is aggressive and percussive, VMT brings up the mids for a warmer, more neutral character.
Gain - Changes the volume of the signal before the Active 6 Band EQ.
Bass - ±12dB at 80Hz.
Mids - ±12dB at 250, 500, 1.5k and 3kHz.
Treble - ±12dB at 5kHz.
Master - Controls the overall volume of the amplifier.
Mute - Mutes the amplifier.
Back Panel Features:
Speaker Output - SpeakON combo jack for either SpeakON or ¼" speaker cable operation; outputs are connected in parallel. Do not use an instrument cable with this jack.
Min-Load - Press when using a 2Ω load; lowers the output if your 4Ω cabinet cannot handle more than 500W (350W with an 8Ω cabinet in this configuration).
Send / Return - Effects loop send and return; master volume control is after the return input.
Ground Lift - Lifts the ground of the DI XLR output to address ground noise.
Pre DI Output - Sends a balanced copy of your input signal to recording equipment or mixer, latency compensated to match the Post DI Output.
Post DI Output - Taken after distortion, EQ and effects loop, processed through the cabinet simulation engine; latency compensated with the Pre DI Output and not affected by master volume.
USB - Connect to the Darkglass Suite to load cabinet impulses or change parameters (MIDI, compressor, etc.).
Headphone Output / Volume - Impulse-based cabinet emulation on headphones, with dedicated volume control.
Aux In - Play music from a laptop, phone, or MP3 player, routed to the headphone output.
Cabinet Select - Switches between 3 cabinet impulses and bypass; hold to enter MIDI Learn mode.
MIDI - Change channels, toggle mute and compressor, and select the cabinet simulation slot with any standard MIDI device (Program Change and Control Change supported).
Footswitch - The Intelligent Footswitch remotely engages and disengages the Microtubes Engine; hold to mute. Use a regular mono instrument cable to connect.
AC Socket - 100 - 230 VAC, 50-60Hz.
AC Power ON/OFF
Warning: No user-serviceable parts inside; do not open the amp. Do not use in high moisture environments or near liquids. The Microtubes 900v2 can deliver more than 115 dB and more than 900 watts – use proper hearing protection and ensure your cabinet can handle the power. Do not cover the vent holes. Do not use an instrument cable as a speaker cable.
