Designed by Marc Ahlfs of Skreddy Pedals, the Animals Pedal Major Overdrive V2 delivers the legendary British amp tones of the late 1960s and early 1970s in a compact, pedalboard-friendly package.
Version 2 improves footswitch placement, battery access, upgraded artwork, and a fine-tuned circuit that works well with a wider range of guitars and amplifiers.
Set the GAIN knob in the middle to hear the magic immediately — this tone is distorted yet easy to play legato lead lines with. Crank the GAIN for more compression and sustain, capturing the "brown sound" feel of a certain LA guitarist who lowered his amp voltage for a unique distortion character.
The Major Overdrive adopts a true bypass footswitch and is powered by a 9V battery or standard center-minus DC9V adapter.
Controls: VOL — adjusts volume. TONE — adjusts high frequency content. GAIN — adjusts distortion strength.
