New Tech 21 PL1 Paul Landers Signature Fly Rig Sansamp Guitar Pedal

Paul Landers of Rammstein has been a long-time user of Tech 21 gear, both the SansAmp GT2 and SansAmp PSA, prominently heard on the worldwide smash "Du Hast." While he liked the format of the Fly Rigs, Paul wanted a different feature set, so he collaborated with Tech 21's Andrew Barta on a signature model to fulfill his needs.

The Paul Landers PL1 Signature Fly Rig offers two SansAmp channels, one clean and one dirty. Like the other Fly Rigs, it delivers ease, portability and multi-functionality for going direct to a mixer or PA, and works as a preamp/stompbox in live performance.

SansAmp Feuer (Fire) and SansAmp Wasser (Water): two all-analog SansAmp channels switch between dirty and clean tones. The Feuer section has 3-band active EQ with switchable Mid, plus Drive and Level. The Wasser section has dual-band active EQ, compression and Level. A Bite switch adds a presence boost for extra top-end clarity, definition and a slight breakup.

DLA with Tap Tempo, Vibrato and Ambiance: the delay is voiced for vintage tape echo, with Time and Repeats controls and a dedicated Tap Tempo footswitch. Vibrato mode repurposes Time (speed) and Level (depth), and Ambiance sweeps from close-mic'd to standard room ambiance.
