How to Use the Noise Gate?

A noise gate is works as a noise eliminator that prevents unwanted buzzes and feedback from being amplified when you are not playing guitar. Setting a threshold, or volume level limit on the pedal determines when the noise gate is “opened” to let signal pass, and when it “shuts” to prevent signal from passing through to the amp. To achieve this, set the amp, pedal and guitar levels to the optimum level and then wind in the threshold to the point where all the notes, sustains and chords ring true and then cut off before any buzz, noise, or feedback enters the amp.
